Frequently Asked Questions
Are these recipes really done in 30 minutes?
Yes. When we say 30 minutes, we mean from the moment you open the fridge to the moment you are putting food on plates. We don't use tricks like "prep time not included." These recipes use shortcuts like pre-made sauces, quick-cooking proteins (like ground meats and thin chicken breasts), and one-pot methods to guarantee speed.
My kids are incredibly picky. Will they eat this?
We have a strict "Kid-Approved" testing process. Most of our recipes are based on familiar, comforting flavor profiles: cheesy, tomatoey, or mildly sweet and savory. We avoid intensely spicy or overly complex flavor combinations. Plus, we often suggest ways to serve meals "deconstructed" so picky eaters can choose their own adventure.
Are these meals healthy?
Our focus is on balance and realism. Are they diet-food? No. But a homemade 20-minute skillet lasagna is significantly healthier, lower in sodium, and more nutritious than hitting the drive-thru. We make sure every dinner includes a protein, a carb, and a vegetable component.
What kitchen equipment do I actually need?
You don't need a fancy stand mixer or a $300 food processor. If you have a large skillet with a lid, a heavy-duty baking sheet (for sheet pan meals), a decent chef's knife, and a cutting board, you can make 95% of the recipes on this website.
